As the ring of terror behind the Iron Curtain clenched human privacy more and more, cinemas were often the place where such a grim life could be subject to mockery. Laughing at oneself and others at this glorious and now forgotten time of political correctness resulted in some of the finest, also the most universal film comedies that have long grown out of their genre.
