The acclaimed screenwriter, whose credits include Fear and Loathing Las Vegas and In This World (winner of the 2002 Berlinale Golden Bear), will share his writing experiences spanning over 25 years in the industry, with a special emphasis on screenwriting for television. Tony will discuss his writing role on the new TV series The Young Pope, as well as the Yorkshire noir series Red Riding, and Southcliffe. Jasmina Kallay will moderate the Masterclass.
Tony Grisoni worked in many different areas of filmmaking before turning to screenwriting. He has worked closely with highly acclaimed directors including Michael Winterbottom, Terry Gilliam, John Boorman, James March, Anand Tucker and Paolo Sorrentino. Among his impressive list of film titles are Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland, Brothers of the Head and In This World. Grisoni’s TV series credits include Red Riding, Southcliffe, and the new, highly anticipated drama series The Young Pope.
