Winner of the Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, American Honey is a dynamic, lyrical odyssey about a group of uninhibited adolescents who travel across the American Midwest selling magazine subscriptions. Young Star has had enough of her hard life and runs away from her dysfunctional family to join a group of young traveling salespeople. She falls in love with Jake, the group’s top-seller, and embraces their renegade lifestyle of partying hard, law-breaking, and never-ending motion. Award-winning British director Andrea Arnold’s fourth feature gives a bold insight into the subculture of young American outcasts, based on real-life experience.
