Troubled teenager Tina becomes infatuated with young Dana. Although she doesn’t know much about the girl in the hijab, not even where she comes from, Tina decides to protect her from the violence and racism in their neighborhood, as well as her father’s oppression.

Screenwriter and director. His film Balcony won the Crystal Bear at this year’s Berlinale. At present he is collaborating with director Ramin Bahrani (Goodbye Solo, 99 Homes) on developing feature-length screenplays.
