Provocative Dutch director Paul Verhoeven, famous for hits such as Basic Instinct, Starship Troopers, and Total Recall, has finally returned to the big screen with his first French-speaking film. The plot of this dark, stylized thriller follows the fifty-year-old Michéle, a successful and ruthless businesswoman, the head of a video game company. Confident, sagacious, and with a sophisticated and caustic sense of humor, Michéle is the kind of person who easily makes enemies. After she is attacked and raped in her own home, she becomes obsessed with tracking the masked assailant down. The pursuit soon turns into a thrilling game of cat and mouse until things start spiraling out of control.
