Blue trampoline. Sunny skies above the city. That’s the spot! The place where our stories intersect. Seven-year-old Lina is running away from her mother when she meets teenager Nika and forty-year-old Nikolina. They could be the reflections of Lina’s potential future. Sharing a similar destiny, the three protagonists change their lives and reveal secrets of painful family rifts. Katarina Zrinka Matijević’s feature debut is a film about love, but by no means a romance. It explores the two sides of the relationship between mother and daughter trapped in a circle of violence. The film premiered at the Pula Film Festival where Tena Nemet Brankov won the Golden Arena for Best Supporting Actress.
Born in 1973. She has written and directed around fifteen documentaries and short features screened at festivals around the world. Her film A Two Way Mirror won the Oktavijan Award for Best Documentary. Trampoline is her first feature film.
